At Greenpeace USA, we’re centering our movement on the most impacted and marginalized to ensure no one gets left behind. To effectively challenge the systems of power and privilege that destroy the environment, we must meet people where they are, going to the most directly impacted people–workers, people of faith, young people and students, parents, Black, Brown, and Indigenous communities–and craft solutions together.

For more than 100 years, NPCA has been honored to carry on this responsibility. Together with our community partners, we protect and defend America’s national parks — and are inspiring the next generation of advocates to speak out and care for them, too.

Justice Outside advances racial justice and equity in the outdoor and environmental movement. We shift resources to, build power with, and center the voices and leadership of Black, Indigenous, and People of Color because the health of current and future generations demands it.

For nearly 50 years, the mission of American Rivers has been to protect wild rivers, restore damaged rivers and conserve clean water for people and nature. The Partnership for Southern Equity (PSE) is an Atlanta-based nonprofit that advances policies and institutional actions that promote racial equity and shared prosperity for all in the growth of metropolitan Atlanta and the American South. Through forums, research, and organizing efforts, PSE brings together the regional community to lift up and encourage just, sustainable, and civic practices for balanced growth and opportunity.

Philadelphia Chinatown Development Corporation (PCDC) is a grassroots, 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Established in 1966, PCDC advocates for the growing population of Chinese Americans in Philadelphia, specifically in the Chinatown neighborhood.

Friends of the National Zoo (FONZ) was unable to make it through the pandemic closure and separated from the Smithsonian National Zoo in February 2021. Now rebranded and relaunched as Conservation Nation, Green 2.0 Communications Manager Raviya Ismail discusses the next iteration of FONZ with Conservation Nation CEO Lynn Mento.

WE ACT for Environmental Justice was founded in 1988 to address the environmental racism impacting West Harlem. WE ACT remains connected to their Harlem roots, with more than 800 members supporting their mission to build healthier communities by ensuring that people of color and low-income participate meaningfully in the creation of just and equitable environmental policies and practices. WE ACT has grown to become a nationally recognized leader in the environmental and climate justice movements. It run programs throughout Northern Manhattan and advocate for policies at the city, state, and federal levels – having opened a Federal Policy Office in Washington, DC in 2012.

LCV (League of Conservation Voters) envision a world in which tackling the climate crisis, confronting environmental injustice, and strengthening our democracy lead to cleaner and healthier communities, good, well-paying jobs, and a more just, equitable, and sustainable planet for all. Keeping the momentum from National Park’s Month in June, Green 2.0 continues the conversation on access to outdoor spaces with guest Jeanne Braha, Executive Director of Rock Creek Conservancy (RCC). RCC aims to restore and conserve Rock Creek Park, which is in the heart of Washington, DC. Braha and RCC are actively working to make green spaces more accessible to everyone.
