This year marks the eighth consecutive year Green 2.0 has presented data on demographic data of staff and equity practices at non-profit organizations (“NGOs”) and foundations in the environmental sector. This year reports the first decline in staff of color at all levels of NGOs in the history of this report. While foundations saw marginal increases, the trend at NGOs begs the question of why these organizations are not retaining staff of color.
