Lashelle Johnson, MPA, is State Equity Policy Director at LCV and LCV Education Fund where they serve as the primary policy contact to 30+ state affiliates and offer research and policy expertise for developing campaigns and strategies that center racial and economic justice. Lashelle also leads and has grown LCV’s state regulatory program from three to 18 states engaged in agency rulemaking and PSC decisions that accelerate clean energy goals, secure equitable deployment of renewables, and retire fossil fuel infrastructure. They also co-chair the Equitable and Just National Climate Platform’s State and Local Justice40 workstream. Lashelle’s previous policy roles have been in Virginia State Government and VCU’s Center for Public Policy. Lashelle has a Master’s in Public Administration and is an alum of the Sorensen Institute for Political Leadership.
